About me
Steve Brigham has been a leader in the public engagement field over the past twenty-five years, first as COO and then as President of AmericaSpeaks, and now as one of three principals at Public Engagement Associates. In that time, he has led or managed more than 200 public and stakeholder engagement projects in project design, public meeting design, and large- and small-group facilitation.
Nationally and internationally, his client projects have included World Economic Forum, The Belgian Biodiversity Platform, Clinton Global Initiative, the National Summit to Defend Democracy, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, the Center for Advancing Social Entrepreneurship, a national youth obesity initiative (Shaping America’s Youth), the Governor’s health policy office in Maine, and the Small Business Anti-Displacement Network.
In the Washington, DC area, he has led engagement projects with the Purple Line Corridor Coalition, the NoMa Parks Foundation, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, the Washington D.C. Mayor’s Office, WMATA, Prince George’s County, Howard County Department of Planning and Zoning, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Fairfax County Office of Neighborhood and Community Services, Rockville City Council, Montgomery County Council, M-NCPPC, the Baltimore Metropolitan Council, and the Bainum Family Foundation, among numerous others.
