About me
Santiago is an architecture student at Montgomery College with a strong interest in urban planning, landscape architecture, and community-centered design. He is driven by a belief that the built environment should serve people first, especially communities that have historically been excluded from design conversations.
He aspires to become an urban designer focused on ecological design, placemaking, public space, and cultural preservation. His experiences as an immigrant living in the South of the United States, have particularly made him interested in how museums, landscapes, and cities can function as “third spaces” that foster belonging, storytelling, and collective care.
